Readying business for further growth post COVID

How is your business going to do things differently post COVID-19?

As a cloud communications provider, we’ve seen a lot of demand for our solutions during the pandemic lockdown from Australian businesses who have had to effectively operate with a remote workforce.

Post-COVID and with easing of social distancing restrictions, we are readying our business for further growth with new office space and headcount, as we expect ongoing, strong local demand for RingCentral’s solutions. Businesses who have struggled during the pandemic will realise that they need more functional and flexible communications to be prepared for similar scenarios in the future to support their remote workers.

We predict that work patterns will be permanently changed as a result of this pandemic. It’s really opened up people’s eyes to the benefits of working from home – both from an employer’s and employee’s perspective. We expect that a larger percentage of the Australian workforce will be working from home either full-time or part-time post-COVID, with organisations putting in place the HR policies and technology solutions necessary to better manage and improve the inclusion and connectivity of these remote workers.

Ironically, even though we are likely to have more people working from home, we might need to increase our office space to provide more physical distancing for our staff.

We are also going to give more consideration to how we manage our teams when we have a higher proportion of working from home staff. That will include co-ordinating when our different teams and departments are physically in the office, so that we can all catch up face-to-face on a regular basis.
