Flybuys takes out top Australian loyalty program

With more than eight million active members enjoying a wider range of rewards and benefits than ever before, flybuys has continued its run as Australia’s top-ranked loyalty program for the sixth year in a row, according to the annual Australian customer loyalty program research study For Love or Money.

The report stated that more flybuys members rated flybuys as ‘doing a very good job’ than members of any other loyalty program in Australia.

flybuys CEO John Merakovsky says that over the past year, flybuys has seen an increase in the number of points issued to members as well as the rate these points are being redeemed for rewards, driven in part by members making use of the flybuys app.

“We have more than eight million active flybuys members and more than 1.5 million members have downloaded the flybuys app since we launched it in 2017. The app is a great tool to ensure members never miss out on a flybuys offer,” he said.

“We have a large network of big brand partners which now includes eBay, Citi, Discovery Parks and Top Parks that constantly provide new and innovative ways for our members to collect and redeem their points – including for unique experiences.”

Mr Merakovsky says that new partners, as well as innovations such as the Shake‘n’Shop – a game that featured in the app for two weeks in March that allowed members to play for more offers and flybuys points – provided flybuys with new ways of surprising and delighting its members.

“We’re delighted to be regarded as the top Aussie loyalty program for six times running now, but far from resting on our laurels, we’ll continue to look at ways to ensure that our members continue to put flybuys at the top of their list for 2020 and beyond.”
