First 5000 partner Deloitte is on the hunt for submissions for its Technology Fast 50 awards. This year’s competition will again include the Leadership Award category open to First 5000 members.

Joshua Tanchel, leader of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Program said the Leadership award, which is unique to the Australian program, recognises established, innovative companies that are showcasing their leadership status to new start-ups in the technology industry.

“A strong growth track record and operating revenues in excess of $50 million in 2011 are the qualifier for this award category.

“Despite their larger size, Leadership Award companies are able to adapt to a fast paced changing technology landscape and generate substantial revenue growth.”

The award Leadership award, which was established in 2010, recognises leadership in the technology industry to new start-ups and is open to companies which have been in business for a minimum of three years.

Entrants must be technology companies which are defined as producing technology, manufacturing technology-related products, they must be technology intensive, or use unique technology to solve problems.

Or they must devote a significant proportion of operating revenues to research & development of technology and have had operating revenues must be at least $50,000 in 2009.

“In today’s economic times significant challenges remain for many technology companies such as accessing finance, ensuring their top talent are constantly challenged and motivated and executing on global and local growth strategies,” Tanchel added.

“Our program gives the winners access to the latest in technology trends through invaluable networking opportunities with other industry experts, as well as increased media profile.”

Entry into the 2011 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program is by self nomination through Deloitte’s online submission process, until 30 September 2011.
