Most Trusted Brands recognised
Dettol is Australia’s most trusted brand, according to the Trusted Brands Survey.
Dettol beat out Band-Aid, Vegemite, Qantas and Betadine to the top spot in the ranking, which is now in its 20th year.
The poll is conducted independently by Catalyst and the results are published exclusively in the Australian Reader’s Digest. More than 3,000 Australians were polled to determine the rankings among 70 consumer categories.
The survey found Vegemite is Australia’s most iconic brand while the Cancer Council is the most trusted charity.
Bunnings was recognised as most trusted retailer, Coles is the most trusted supermarket and Toyota the most trusted automotive brand, while Bendigo Bank was awarded most trusted bank.
Australian Reader’s Digest editor-in-chief Louise Waterson said the digital world is awash with fake news and social media tribes, which can make consumer trust hard to earn and maintain. But the value of being a trusted brand shouldn’t be ignored as it truly matters to consumers.
“Ultimately, trust is built on the traditional foundations of quality, consistency, honesty and delivering on your promise.”
