Assistant Project Manager (Maternity Leave Position – Part Time)
Independent non-profit institute for active policy, Global Access Partners is seeking a part time Assistant Project Manager for an immediate start.
Responsible for the successful delivery of all GAP-organised events, including conferences, seminars and meetings through meticulous preparation, ongoing management, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, and coordination of feedback.
Role involves:
· Planning high-level business meetings and events, including liaising with chair people and speakers, confirming venues, arranging catering, compiling invitation lists, managing invitee correspondence, securing RSVPs, and preparing meeting documentation
· Day of meeting/event coordination, ensuring a successful outcome
· Managing the GAP Research Assistants and Interns
· Maintaining the GAP Social Media calendar and ensuring that posts are done on schedule
· Supporting the senior executive team with a wide range of administrative duties
· Personal Assistant duties to Chairman
· Working with very high-level individuals from both business and government
Skills and qualities expected:
· Strong attention to detail
· A passion for thoroughness and accuracy when completing work.
· An understanding of protocols of formal communication both spoken and written
· Excellent communication skills
· Competency in Word & Excel
· Time management skills & ability to prioritise
· Proven ability to work with large volumes of information and handle pressure well
· Understanding small business corporate philosophy and a willingness to do what it takes to get a job done.
· Tolerance towards multicultural diversity
· Impeccable personal presentation
Advantage:
· Knowledge of HTML & desktop publishing
· Have worked with government or in government department.
· A flair for design
