APTS recognised as WA Telstra Business finalist

First 5000 member, Australian Pressure Testing Services (APTS) has been named as a finalist in the 2011 Telstra Western Australian Business Awards across three categories.

The service provider to the oil and gas industry, which pressure tests pipelines and vessels to prove their integrity, is a finalist in the Panasonic Medium Business, Yellow Pages Social Responsibility and AMP Innovation categories.

APTS director Paul Newbound said it is a magnificent boost to not only the management team but the entire company to get recognition in three categories.

“The company was based around my values and my wife’s values. We won’t do business with a company that goes against those values and we believe there is a win-win in every contract.

“Our point of difference is we care about our customers and encourage our people to give far better service than is expected by the clients.”

Established in Perth in 2003, APTS has continued to secure significant industry projects such as Pilbara’s Burrup Fertiliser project and the Otway gas plant in Victoria.

In 2010, APTS won all the testing contracts for WA’s Pluto LNG and the Binningup desalination project.

Earlier this year the company expanded its operation opening a branch in Brisbane.

APTS is one of fourteen businesses that have been reconised as finalists in Western Australia. Winners will be announced at the Hyatt Regency Perth on 19 July. They will receive a share of the $500,000 in cash and prizes and proceed to the national Awards in Melbourne on 26 August 2011.
