Professional services firm and First 5000 partner, Deloitte has been recognised as one of Australia’s leading marketers by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI).

Deloitte partner and chief marketing officer David Redhill was named Certified Practising Marketer of the Year, while Deloitte Fantasy Football, which harnessed social media on a global level, took out the top gong for best internal marketing campaign.

Kwik Kopy has again made the Top 10 list of Australian franchises in a survey conducted by independent consumer franchise service, topfranchise.com.au.

The corporate design and print solutions specialist and First 5000 partner, continues its climb to the top, this time improving two more spots, to secure fourth position in the latest results.

First 5000 partner Deloitte is on the hunt for submissions for its Technology Fast 50 awards. This year’s competition will again include the Leadership Award category open to First 5000 members.

Joshua Tanchel, leader of Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 Program said the Leadership award, which is unique to the Australian program, recognises established, innovative companies that are showcasing their leadership status to new start-ups in the technology industry.

Nominations for the annual Ethnic Business Awards, which recognise Australia’s diversity in business, close on 25 July 2011. First 5000 members are eligible to enter the Medium to Large Business category.

Winners will share in cash and prizes including $10,000 for individual category winners from the founding partner and major sponsor – National Australia Bank.

First 5000 member, Australian Pressure Testing Services (APTS) has been named as a finalist in the 2011 Telstra Western Australian Business Awards across three categories.

The service provider to the oil and gas industry, which pressure tests pipelines and vessels to prove their integrity, is a finalist in the Panasonic Medium Business, Yellow Pages Social Responsibility and AMP Innovation categories.

Andrew Conway, chief executive of First 5000 member, the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), has been recognised as the Professions Australia '2011 Young Professional of the Year'.

The award is intended  to  encourage  and  recognise  the  achievements  of  a  young  professional  who has demonstrated a noteworthy commitment  to excellence and  innovation  in  their profession and has worked  to promote the profession as a whole.

Women need mentors not gender targets to improve their numbers at senior management level, according to a group of top-performing businesswomen.

Almost three quarters of respondents to a survey of winners and finalists in the 2010 Telstra Business Women’s Awards said mentoring programs for talented young women were vital for greater gender equality.
