G20 Agenda for Growth: Opportunities for SMEs Conference
Leading experts from business, government, academia, the B20 and the G20, will converge at Parliament House in Melbourne to discuss key challenges facing the Small and Medium Enterprise sector in an event convened by Global Access Partners.
To be held on Friday 20 June and hosted by Minister for Small Business, Bruce Billson, and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event will address the role of SMEs in meeting the G20’s growth agenda.
“We have a long history of supporting business growth and innovation and we are proud to be a sponsor of this initiative,” Global Access Partners Managing Director Catherine Fritz-Kalish said.
“Our First 5000 network of mid-sized businesses is dedicated to supporting Australian companies.
In February this year, G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors agreed to develop ambitious but realistic policies to lift our collective GDP by more than 2 per cent above current forecasts by 2018.
SMEs have the unique opportunity to contribute to G20 growth strategies. The event will provide a platform for participants to identify business policy reforms to address the sector’s needs and boost productivity, growth and employment.
“Global Access Partners will release a report highlighting the discussions of the event with a plan for action in this area for the future.
“Our role is not only to help facilitate dialogue such as this but to ensure action is taken following the decisions,” Fritz-Kalish said.
